This policy explains how Slow Welcome processes personal data of users of www.slow-welcome.com in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Data controller
The data controller is Slow Welcome. For any request regarding your personal data, please write to info@slow-welcome.com.
2. Data we collect
Data you provide: name, email, password, host profile data (biography, interview, photos, videos, property address, spoken languages, amenities, booking link).
Payment data: handled directly by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, generated automatically while browsing.
3. Purposes
To provide Slow Welcome services: registration, host profile management, publication of interviews and properties, discovery by travellers.
Subscription and invoice management.
Service communications (confirmations, renewal reminders, security notices).
Site improvement and aggregate statistics.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on contract performance (art. 6.1.b GDPR), your consent where required (art. 6.1.a) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and functional (art. 6.1.f).
5. Processors
We rely on trusted providers to deliver the service:
• Supabase (database hosting and authentication).
• Cloudflare (site hosting and CDN).
• Stripe (payment processing).
Each provider processes data on our behalf as data processor.
6. Data transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EU, based on appropriate safeguards (European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Data retention
Host account data is retained as long as the profile is active. Upon deletion, data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. accounting data kept for 10 years).
8. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability at any time by writing to info@slow-welcome.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
The site uses technical cookies required for operation (e.g. login session and language preferences). We do not use profiling cookies without your consent.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be published on this page with a new update date.
